AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS), a leading global operator in trade, industry, and logistics solutions, announced today the signing of a shareholder agreement with AVESTO Group, one of Tajikistan's largest privately owned, diversified industrial holdings. The aim of the agreement is to establish a new joint venture that will provide integrated logistics and forwarding services across the country, focusing on freight transportation.
According to the shareholder agreement, the joint venture will initially operate as a freight forwarder following an asset-light model (without owning significant physical assets), with exclusive rights to consolidate and manage the freight and logistics activities of AVESTO Group’s subsidiaries, as well as provide services to third-party clients in the market.
AVESTO Group, a key leader in Tajikistan’s private sector, manages over 30 large enterprises and production facilities across various industries and maintains partnerships with eight leading international companies for joint ventures.
The joint venture will be structured with AD Ports Group owning 51% of the shares and AVESTO Group assuming the 49% ownership in the joint venture. The partnership will be developed in stages to ensure long-term growth and operational expansion.
“This partnership marks an important step in our further expansion in Central Asia. Tajikistan's growing industrial base and its strategic location open up significant opportunities for the development of advanced logistics capabilities that support regional trade flows,” said Abdulla Zaied Al-Shamsi, Regional CEO of AD Ports Group.
“As part of our collaboration with AVESTO Group, we aim to deliver world-class logistics solutions that will strengthen the Central Corridor and enhance our position as a global operator driving international trade development,” he added.
Muhammad Mirzo, CEO of AVESTO Group, stated, “As one of the key drivers of Tajikistan’s industrial sector, we are committed to facilitating the global market access of our country’s products.”
“Partnering with a global leader like AD Ports Group enables us to transform Tajikistan’s logistics ecosystem. Together, we’re not just transporting goods—we are creating a modern strategic gateway that connects Central Asia with global markets, unlocking new economic potential for the entire region,” he said.
The deal is a strategic move in AD Ports Group's efforts to expand its presence in the Central Corridor and enhance connectivity along the East-West trade route. The partnership strengthens the Group’s position in Central Asia by providing access to critical land-based trade networks linking Tajikistan to regional markets, before the route moves through the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, and Georgia toward Europe.
