DUSHANBE, December 6, Asia-Plus - One person was killed and one other was injured Tuesday as a car collided with a minivan in Khujand, according to the Tajik traffic police administration.
A Nexia sedan driven by an 18-year-old Zubaydullo Pirov and a Damas minivan driven by a 37-year-old Ergashboy Nurmatov collided in the Lermontov Street. As a result of the collision one of passengers of the minivan, a 65year-old woman, died and other woman sustained various injures and was taken to the city hospital. The cause of the accident is under way.
In all, five traffic accidents were registered in Tajikistan yesterday. Two persons were killed and 9 others were injured in those accidents. Since the beginning of the year, 1,393 traffic accidents have been registered in Tajikistan, which is 200 cases fewer than last year. 405 people have been killed and 1,626 others have been injured in traffic accidents this year.
