DUSHANBE, January 19, Asia-Plus -- Temperatures in Tajikistan are expected to drop below – 15 Celsius on the night of January 19-20, according to the Hydromet Agency.
Mahmad Safarov, deputy director of the Hydromet Agency, told Asia-Plus on Saturday that the cold weather is likely to stick in Tajikistan till January 24.
According to weather forecasts, during these days, temperatures will drop to minus 10-15 Celsius at night and day temperatures will be minus 4-6 Celsius.
Tajik weather forecasters say Tajikistan is experiencing on of its coldest winters in the past twenty-five years. According to them, such temperatures were reported in Tajikistan in 1982.
However, the coldest weather in Dushanbe was reported in January 1936, when temperatures in the city dropped to -26.6 Celsius.
