KULOB, June 7, 2011, Asia-Plus  -- Three persons were killed in a traffic accident that occurred in Vose district, Khatlon province on June 7.

According to the Kulob traffic police department, the accident took place at the crossroads in the Guliston area Tuesday morning.   “A gasoline-tank truck belonging to the Ministry of Defense knocked off a person who was standing on the roadside and then ran into a parked car,” said the source, “The person who standing on the roadside and two other persons who were in the parked car died on the spot.”

The cause of the accident is under investigation.  According to the preliminary data, the brakes of the truck failed, the source added.
