DUSHANBE, October 29, 2015, Asia-Plus – A roundtable formally titled “Gender, Age and Disability Analysis for the Projects on Disaster Risk Reduction” is taking place at Dushanbe Plaza today.

According to Oxfam Tajikistan, the main objective of the meeting is in familiarizing participants with the results of the analytical work Analysis of the Aspects of Gender, Age and Disability in Projects for Disaster Risk Reduction , made in the framework of the project, Consolidation and Expansion of the Institutions and the Capacity of Communities to Deal with Natural Risks.

The roundtable participants reportedly include representatives of governmental agencies, donor organizations, civil society and mass media.

The event provides a platform for discussion, as well as development of recommendations and measures, as a contribution to the New National Platform of the Republic of Tajikistan on Disaster Risk Reduction (Decision №98 of the Government of Tajikistan dated March 1, 2012).
