DUSHANBE, August 16, 2016, Asia-Plus – Abdumumin Oyev, the head of the department for labor protection, fire safety and civil defense at Tojik Sodirot Bonk (TSB), has filed an application against the TSB crisis administration head Mirhayot Yoqubov in the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).
Oyev accuses Yoqubov of attempted murder and slander.
Asia-Plus reporter has visited Oyev in a hospital.
Oyev says he was summoned to the office of Qurbonali Doustov, the head of the TSB security department, on August 8 after 5:00 pm.
“There were nine people, including six members of the crisis administration, in the office. Yoqubov began to beat me and then began to suffocate me. I nearly died but nobody tried to stop him. Mirhayot Yoqubov accused me of installing bugs and mini video cameras in his office,” Oyev said.
The 63-year-old Abdumumin Oyev says he had a nervous breakdown and he is currently undergoing medical treatment in the hospital.
According to him, the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) has proven his innocence and it has been established that he did not install bugs and mini video cameras in the crisis administration head’s office.
Meanwhile, quoting one of TSB employees, who wanted to remain anonymous, online news outlet TojNews reports that mini video cameras are part of the security system of each bank in the country. The crisis administration head did not know this due to lack of experiences and supposed that he is being shadowed.
Mirhayot Yoqubov, 32, graduated from Tajik National University. He was appointed to head the crisis administration at Tojik Sodirot Bonk in mid-May. Before that, he served as the head of the department for international transactions at the National Bank of Tajikistan.
