The highway connecting Dushanbe and the northern city of Khujand has reopened to traffic, but not for all vehicles.  Truck traffic has been temporarily restricted on the highway.

The Branch of the Innovative Road Solutions (IRS) in Tajikistan, which operates the toll on the Dushanbe-Khujand-Chanak highway, says the highway reopened for traffic yesterday but truck traffic has been temporarily restricted on the highway in order to avoid traffic congestion.

Heavy snowfall is continuing in some areas and the risk of further avalanches remains high, according the IRS press center.

Recall, heavy snowfall on February 4 caused a series of snow-slides that blocked in several places the highway.  More than 10 avalanches reportedly occurred in the Varzob district on February 4 blocking the Dushanbe-Khujand highway in several places on the section from the 47th kilometer to the 81st kilometer.
