A large drone, more akin to a military unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), crashed in the Sharora settlement of Hisor district, located five kilometers from Dushanbe, Radio Liberty’s Tajik Service, known locally as Radio Ozodi reported on December 3.

The incident reportedly occurred on December 3 on Karim Devona Street in this locality.  

The drone struck a power line pole and fell to the ground.  According to local residents, no one was injured, and there was no destruction.  

In a video provided to Radio Ozodi by Sharora residents, flames can be seen at the site of the drone's crash.

Police and military personnel arrived at the scene.

It remains unknown what functions this drone performed and where it was launched from.  

Tajik authorities have not yet commented on the incident.

The report notes that the Hisor district is home to the Ayni military airfield, operated by Tajikistan’s Ministry of Defense.
