DUSHANBE, January 16, Asia-Plus - “Ensuring observance of laws on protection of rights of passengers both inside and outside the republic takes an important place in activities of the transportation prosecutor’s office,” Oqil Sultonqulov, Chief Adie to Tajik Transportation Prosecutor, said in his interview with Asia-Plus.
“At one of Kazakh railway stations, more than 100 passengers of the train Dushanbe-Astrakhan have been illegally made to get off the train, at the other Kazakh railway station, Kazakh border officers have extorted money from passengers of the train Saratov (Russia)-Khujand,” said the Asia-Plus interlocutor, “Such violations of rights of Tajik citizens have been reported in the Russian Federation as well.” “With interference of the Tajik transportation prosecutor’s office, these violations have been solved and criminal proceedings have been instituted against the offenders,” an official with the transportation prosecutor’s office noted.
