, February 7, Asia-Plus - Officers of the Sughd police directorate’s division for combating drug trafficking (drug police) have seized 2.8 kilograms of heroin at the airport in Khujand, according to information from the Sughd police directorate.
The source says an inspection of passengers on the Khujand-St. Petersburg flight yesterday found 2.8 kilograms of heroin hidden in a luggage belonging to Zokirjon Nurmatov, resident of Bobojonghafurov district.
A criminal case has been instituted on drug trafficking charges and investigation is under way.
