KHUJAND, April 11, Asia-Plus - Chief of the border commandant’s office for the Ghonchi district in Sughd, Major Nourullo Davlatov, has got a lengthy jail term for having been involved in drug trafficking.
A military court in Khujand on April 7 ruled that Nourullo Davlatov be given a jail term of 15 years and that he should serve it in a high-security penal colony. The sentence followed his conviction on charge of trafficking in drugs.
The source at the Khujand military court said that Davlatov was detained on September 2, 2005 already when he was pushing 2.803 kilograms of heroin to Rahmatsho Hakimov. Hakimov was sentenced to 12 years in jail, according to the source.
