DUSHANBE, November 3, Asia-Plus -- Officers from the Interior Ministry directorate for combating drug trafficking (drug police) have warded off an attempt of drug pushing in Dushanbe, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
The MoI source said that officers from Tajik drug police on November 2 detained Afghan national Masoud Ubaidullo near the Tajiktextilmash plant in Dushanbe. Two sacks containing totaling more than 45 kilograms of raw opium were confiscated from him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Ubaidullo and n investigation is under way.
