KULOB, April 2, Asia-Plus -- The 38-year-old resident of the village of Shugnou in Khatlon’s Khovaling district Mahmadali Hakimov yesterday shot at his wife, brother-in-law and mother-in-law from sub-machine-gun. As a result his wife and brother-in-law were killed and his mother-in-law got serious wounds and was taken to the central district hospital in Khovaling.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the Kulob prosecutor Nasrullo Mahmoudov said that Hakimov who was recently released from prison wanted to return his wife, who was living with her parents after he was jailed. “However, she refused to return and demanded divorce,” said the prosecutor. “Following quarrel, Hakimov fired at his wife, brother-in-law and mother-in-law and escaped.”
A special group has been set up for catching Mahmadali Hakimov, who faces charges of illegal possession of weapons and killing.
