KHUAJND, May 2, Asia-Plus -- Inspections carried out by officers from the Sughd anticorruption directorate in the city of Taboshar have revealed instances of embezzlement of state funds by local officials.
Abdugaffor Murodov, an official with the Taboshar mayor’s office, being in charge of organizational issues, and T. Bobokhojayev, logistics manager at the Taboshar mayor’s office, face charge of embezzlement of some 7,000 somonis of state funds.
Besides, Taboshar’s municipal waterworks head Abdulahad Madkarimov is charged with misappropriating of 8,000 somonis.
The Sughd anticorruption directorate has instituted criminal proceedings against all three of them and an investigation is under way.
