KHUJAND, October 14, 2008, Asia-Plus -- The Supreme Court has upheld the Sughd regional court’s verdict against a 44-year-old resident of Khujand Maqsoudjon Nabiyev, who was convicted of the killing charge and sentenced to a 20-year prison term.
In April 2008, Nabiyev stabbed a resident of the Buston settlement, Sughd’s Mastchoh district to death following quarrel during gambling.
