KHUJAND, January 4, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Forged $100 banknotes have been discovered in the northern Sughd provinceНа севере.
According to press service of the Sughd police directorate, the 34-year-old resident of the Konibodom district Juraboy Ishoqov was detrained in the Qistaqouz jamoat (community) of the Bobojonghafurov district on January 2 on suspicion of having used a forged $100 banknote while paying for 17 liters of gasoline.
Five another forged $100 banknotes were confiscated from Ishoqov. Criminal proceedings have been instituted against him and an investigation is under way.
