KHUJAND, February 23, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Drunken hooligan has inflicted a stab wound on police officer in Sughd’s Zafarobod district.
The source at the Sughd police directorate said that Friday evening the Zafarobod police department received report about drunken quarrel at local refuel station. Police officers detained three local residents Bahrom Bobokarimov, Saidqul Jourayev and Abudullo Sanginov who were heavily drunk. It is to be noted that Bobokarimov, Jourayev and Sanginov had previous convictions.
When police officers were taken them to the police department, Bobokarimov inflicted a stab wound on Sergeant Ahmadjon Ghoibnazarov, who was taken to the central district hospital in Zafarobod. The police office is now in good health condition.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Bobkarimov under the provisions of three articles of Tajikistan’s Criminal Code and an investigation is under way.
