DUSHANBE, December 14, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Officers from the police department in Dushanbe’s Ismoili Somoni district have solved robbery of local office of Turkish company, Anka Trading, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
The source at a MoI said that the head of the Dushanbe office of Anka Trading, Mr. Yakup Soydeger, applied to the police department on December 12, noting that unknown persons entered the office on the night of December 11-12 and seized more than 54,000 somoni and 520 U.S. dollars.
“Dushanbe resident Ilhom Safaraliyev was detained on suspicion of having been involved in that crime and part of the seized money were confiscated from him,” the source said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted on the robbery charge and operation to search for accomplices to the crime is going on.
