Drug traffickers, who were arrested in spring last year with huge shipment of drugs, faced verdicts in Dushanbe.
Verdicts were passed against brothers Abdugaffor, Abdusattor and Mahmadalim Davlatovs, all residents of Kulob, and Jumahon Hamidulloev, resident of Hamadoni region, Tajik Ministry of Interior reported.
The four were detained in May 2011 in the course of a special operation by the Tajik Interior Ministry’s Organized Crime Unit.
Hamidulloev was arrested with 4.4kg of raw-opium, while Davlatovs were detained with 3.8kg of cannabis, nearly 4kg of raw-opium and 5.3kg of hashish.
The court sentenced Jumahon Hamidulloev to 14 years in prison, Abdusattor and Mahmadalim Davlatovs got 12 years in jail, while their brother Abdugaffor, who had previous criminal records for similar offences, got 18 years in prison.
