DUSHANBE, June 23, 2011, Asia-Plus -- On Wednesday June 22, Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi received a copy of credentials of Agybay Smagulov, Kazakh Ambassador assigned to Tajikistan.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, Zarifi congratulated Smagulov on his appointment and wished him successes in strengthening and expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
Tajik minister highly appraised many-sided bilateral cooperation between the two countries, pointing out the significance of implementation of plans of being of mutual interest and underlying the necessity of further expansion of trade and economic ties between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
Ambassador Smagulov, for his part, promised to undertake maximum efforts to promote further development and strengthening of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
In the course of the talks, the sides also touched up a number of regional and international issues being of mutual interest.
