DUSHANBE, March 5, 2012, Asia-Plus -- At the end of last week, Tajik Ambassador to Uzbekistan Muzaffar Huseinov held a number of bilateral meetings in Tashkent, the Tajik MFA information department said.
Tajik envoy, in particular, held talks with Mr. Miroslav Jenca, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA). The two reportedly discussed priorities of cooperation within the framework of UNRCCA and other UN agencies as well as a number of regional issues beingof mutual interest.
Ambassador Huseinov also met with Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov and Uzbek Deputy Foreign Minister Komil Rashidov at the end of last week. Bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan was the focus of the talks, the source said.
