Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon’s visit to China started June 1 from Fujian province in southeastern coast of China.
As reported by the President’s press service, in the course of his visit to Fujian President Rahmon met with Sanming Mayor (Secretary of the party’s committee) Lu Kesin to discuss establishment and expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and this historical city of China.
President Rahmon stressed the importance of Sanming’s experience in trade and economic development and town planning.
E.Rahmon ordered members of the accompanying delegation to ensure participation of Tajikistan in Sanming annual trade and investment fair.
Sanming Mayor Lu Kesin said business and commercial circles of the city would be happy to present their products and services in Tajikistan.
The sides also talked about development of cooperation in such spheres as extraction and processing of natural resources, agriculture, education, health, tourism and other spheres.
At the same time, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon’s official trip to China will continue.
In Fujian province President Rahmon is scheduled to meet with the governor of the province, teachers and students of the Sanming University, top managers of a series of private companies. He is also scheduled to take part in the forthcoming bilateral forum of investors and businessmen.
