Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon, who is taking part in the 12th session of the Council of heads of member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing, met with his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari.
As reported by the President’s press service, Iranian and Tajik Presidents ordered related structures of the countries to speed up the construction of Istiklol tunnel on the Dushanbe-Khujand road, launch the second unit of Sangtuda-2 HPP and launch the construction of Ayni HPP on Zeravshan River.
Emomali Rahmon also met with Asif Ali Zardari to discuss future projects on construction of transport and energy communications that will link the two countries through Afghanistan.
