DUSHANBE, June 21, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Tajik President Emomali Rahmon met with his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil yesterday on the sidelines of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development.
The president’s official website reports that the two expressed readiness to prepare a package of government-to-government agreements and documents aimed at promoting further expansion of bilateral cooperation between their countries.
Rahmon and Berdymukhammedov also reportedly determined to bring bilateral educational and economic cooperation to a higher level.
