DUSHANBE, June 24, 2013, Asia-Plus – On Friday June 21, Tajik Ambassador to Pakistan, Sherali Jononov, met in Islamabad with Pakistani Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Tariq Fatemi, the Tajik MFA information department reported on June 24.
In the course of the talks, the two considered issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan as well as interaction between them within international organizations.
Sherali Jononov briefed Tariq Fatemi on Tajikistan’s topical foreign policy initiatives and the upcoming international conference on water cooperation that is expected to take place in Dushanbe from August 20-21 this year, the Tajik MFA information department said.
State and prospects of further expansion of economic cooperation between the two nations, more active use trade and transit potentials of the two countries and implementation of regional energy projects were also among major topics of the meeting.
