DUSHANBE, October 28, 2013, Asia-Plus -- Members of Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament, Ms. Saodat Amirshoyeva and Ms. Munavara Kenjayeva, attended a regional roundtable ““Role of Regional Integration in Development of Competitiveness of EAEC Member Nations and Legal Support for It” that took place in the Kazakh capital Astana on October 22-27.

“Speaking at the roundtable, Ms. Amirshoyeva noted that Tajikistan has always supported integration processes in the post-Soviet area,” Muhammadato Sultonov, told Asia-Plus in an interview.

“According to her, the main opponents are becoming projects for creation of a global world, various options of which are offered by the United States,” Sultonov said.

“Besides these projects for globalization, which can be called the main projects, because forces participating in implementation of these projects control the major part of natural resources and have considerable political and military opportunities, there are at least two other projects – the project which is the direct legacy of Vatican’s efforts to create the “Catholic World” and the so-called project for financial internationalism, which is aimed at creation of a global society that will be managed by financial structures and transnational corporations,” said Amirshoyeva.  “These global projects contradict each other in terms of both their goals and means of implementation of them.”

“Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with members of the Valdai International Discussion Club that the Eurasian Union is a project for maintaining the identity of nations in the
historical Eurasian space in a new century and in a new world,” Tajik MP noted, adding that for objective historical, economic, and political reasons Russia now plays a key role in organization of integration processes in the Eurasian area.
