Tajikistan and the Czech Republic have signed an agreement on air communication between the two countries.
Negotiations between the government delegations of Tajikistan and the Czech Republic that took place in Prague yesterday resulted in signing of two cooperation documents – a government-to-government agreement on air communication between the two countries and a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the prosecutor-general’s offices of Tajikistan and the Czech Republic, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and his Czech Counterpart Milos Zeman signed a joint statement on expansion of bilateral cooperation between their countries.
After that, a government-to-government agreement on air communication between Tajikistan and the Czech Republic was signed in the presence of the leaders of the two countries.
Besides, prosecutor-generals of the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Prosecutor-General’s Office of Tajikistan and the Supreme Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Czech Republic.
After the negotiations and the ceremony of signing the documents, Emomali Rahmon and Milos Zeman held a joint briefing for jurnalists. They, in particular, noted that the negotiations were a significant event in history of friendly relationships between Tajikistan and the Czech Republic.
Recall, it was a return visit at the invitation of Czech President Milos Zeman.
Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov, Presidential Adviser for International Ties Azamsho Sharifi, Prosecutor-General Yusuf Rahmon, Minister of Industry and New Technologies Shavkat Bobozoda, Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State-owned Property Management Qodir Qosim and some other officials accompanied President Rahmon on his trip to the Czech Republic.
Today, a conference of representatives of the business communities of the two countries is taking place in Prague. This forum is expected to end with signing of two cooperation documents – a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan and the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic and a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the national libraries of the two countries.
