Speaker of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament, Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda, has received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Tajikistan, Mr. Michel Tarran.

In the course of the talks, Zokirzoda noted that Tajikistan and France should take additional efforts to create one more effective mechanism of cooperation in a form of a joint intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation, Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, told Asia-Plus in an interview.

He reportedly further noted that business forums, roundtables, exhibitions and presentations could promote intensification of perspective directions of cooperation between the two countries.  

It was noted during the meeting that relations between Tajikistan and France have a tendency to rapid development and are aimed at a long-term perspective, Sultonov said.
