Afghanistan wants to build friendly relations with Tajikistan, Taliban spokesman said.
Abdul Ghani Baradar, acting deputy head of the Taliban-formed government of Afghanistan, said Tajikistan was interfering in the country's internal affairs, RIA Novosti reports.
Taliban say they have sent 1,000 special forces to Takhar province near Tajik border. " Dozens of special forces of the Islamic Emirate (the self-name of the political system of the Taliban - ed.) Were deployed in Takhar, tens of thousands of special forces were deployed", - wrote on Twitter the representative of the movement Zabiullah Mujahid.
According to a Taliban spokesman, the measure is aimed at eliminating security threats.
«We want Tajikistan not to interfere in our internal affairs. We want to have good relations with Tajikistan, but the interference of one country in the internal affairs of its neighbor cannot serve anyone's interests. For every action, a reaction will be found»,— Taliban-appointed deputy chairman of the interim Afghan government Abdul Salam Hanafi said on the air of Al-Jazeera TV .
The representative of the movement said that Afghanistan wants to build friendly relations with Tajikistan, but the interference of one side in the internal affairs of its neighbor cannot serve to strengthen the relationship.
