On Tuesday November 9, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sharaf Sheralizoda met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Tajikistan Mohammad Taghi Sаberi, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
During the meeting, parties reportedly discussed the issues related to the trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran, including promotion of investment, banking and other issues of mutual interest.
Sheralizoda and Saberi reportedly expressed interest in further expansion of the mutually beneficial relations between the two countries.
Other details of the negotiations were not disclosed.
Recall, eight documents of cooperation in various fields were signed on September 18 in Dushanbe by cabinet members of Tajikistan and Iran in the presence of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and his Iranian counterpart Ebraim Raisi.
The signed documents included six memoranda of understanding, one agreement, and one technical protocol on customs cooperation.
