On Monday March 18, President Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
The Tajik president’s official website notes that at the beginning of the conversation, Emomali Rahmon warmly congratulated Vladimir Putin on his victory in the presidential elections held in the Russian Federation.
The President of Tajikistan reportedly wished Vladimir Putin increasingly new successes in his state activities in the path of stable development and prosperity of friendly Russia.
During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on important issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia, paying attention to the commercial and economic spheres of relations between the two countries.
Recall, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon was the first to congratulate Putin. He, in particular, wrote in his message of congratulations, “I cordially congratulate you on your convicting victory in the presidential elections. The voting results are another clear confirmation of your high political authority and the broad support by Russian society for the state policy to ensure sustainable socioeconomic development of the country and strengthen its international positions.”
