A state visit of Tajik president Emomali Rahmon to Azerbaijan has resulted in signing of number of cooperation documents.   

The Tajik president’s official website says Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev on May 23 signed the Declaration on Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

After that a number of cooperation documents were signed in the presence of them: 

  • Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan Minister Sherali Kabir and Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan Rashad Nabiyev signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between their ministries; 
  • Director of the Bailiff Service under the Government of Tajikistan Barno Saidvalizoda and Minister of Justice of Azerbaijan Farid Ahmadov signed a MoU on cooperation in the field of execution of judicial acts and acts of other bodies;
  • Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of Tajikistan and Bahodour Sheralizoda and Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Mukhtar Babbayev signed a MoU on cooperation in the field of environmental protection;
  • Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavqi Zavqizoda and Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikail Jabbarov signed a government-to-government agreement between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan on cooperation in the field of industrial property protection;
  • Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavqi Zavqizoda and Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikail Jabbarov signed a MoU on cooperation in the field of digital trade;
  • Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan Ramazon Rahimzoda and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov signed a government-to-government agreement on cooperation in the field of migration;
  • Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin and Minister of Foreign Affairs Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov signed a government-to-government agreement on cooperation in the field of technical information protection.
