Kazakh President Kassymzhomart Tokayev is arriving in Dushanbe on a two-day state visit today at the invitation of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, the press service of the Tajik head of state reported.

High-level talks are planned during the visit, during which a "solid package of documents" will be signed, the main of which will be an Agreement on Allied Relations.

During his visit to Dushanbe, Kasymzhomart Tokayev will also meet with Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda and Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda.

The Presidents will also take part in a solemn concert dedicated to the opening of the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Tajikistan.

In addition, parallel events will be held, including a business forum, a conference of scientists, forums for women and youth, as well as an exhibition of Kazakh fine arts and folk crafts. Concerts are planned in the cities of Bokhtar and Khujand.

Recall that in connection with the arrival of the President of Kazakhstan, some roads will be temporarily closed in the capital of Tajikistan. According to the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dushanbe, on August 22, from 09:00 to 14:00, the movement of all types of transport along Mastongulov (airport), A.Donish, S.Aini (Sadbarg), Rudaki and Somoni Avenues will be restricted.

On August 23, from 11:30 to 14:00, traffic will also be blocked along Rudaki, Somoni Avenues, Sino Streets, S.Aini (Sadbarg), A.Donish and Mastongulova (airport) streets.

Drivers are asked to follow the parking rules on the above-mentioned streets and use alternative routes.

In addition, on the eve of Tokayev's visit, various events dedicated to strengthening bilateral cooperation have already begun to be held in Tajikistan. So, on August 20-21, the Days of Kazakh Cinema were held in Dushanbe. The audience was able to see films of various genres, such as the musical biopic Dos Mukasan and the action film Operation Nabat, which introduced them to the diversity of modern Kazakh cinema.

Also, as part of the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Tajikistan, on August 21, a bust of Kazakh poet and thinker Abai Kunanbayev was solemnly unveiled in the Abulkasim Firdavsi Park of Culture and Recreation.
