Moscow region to get benefit from orchard to be laid out in Hissor district

, February 20, Asia-Plus - On Saturday February 18, President Rahmonov visited Hissor district, some 17 kilometers west of
Dushanbe
, to familiarize himself with a progress of carrying out of campaign planting the district with trees and gardens, presidential press service reported.
Rahmonov planted several seedlings in the area were the “Moskovoblinvestbank”-sponsored orchard is being laid out.
According to presidential press service, “Moskovoblinvestbank” (
Moscow
region’s investment bank) is investing US$1 million in this orchard that will be laid out in the area of 300 hectares. A part of harvests will go to the local market and the other part will be sent to the
Moscow
region.
By president’s proposal the orchard is named after the 15
th
anniversary of
Tajikistan
’s
Independence
.
