DUSHANBE, May 29, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmonov presided over a working meeting with participation of Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov and senior representatives from the president’s executive office and a number of relevant ministries and organizations on May 29.
The meeting was held to discuss practical realization of agreements that had been reached at May 26 negotiations between Emomali Rahmonov and Vladimir Putin in the southern Russian resort city of Sochi.
According to information from presidential press service, Rahmonov ordered relevant officials to take appropriate measures to facilitate the practical implementation of agreements reached by the two heads of state on cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, energy, industries, science and culture. Rahmonov, in particular, ordered to increase fruits and vegetables exports to the Russian Federation, hold an exhibition of Tajik farm produce in Russia and open Tajik culture center in Moscow and Russian culture center in Dushanbe.
Hailing agreements on military ad security cooperation, Rahmonov noted that the Russian side would work out a program for border cooperation and assistance to the development of Tajik border forces. The main purpose of this program is in assisting the training and equipment of Tajik border forces, according to the Tajik president.
