DUSHANBE, August 28, Asia-Plus -- Tajik President Emomali Rahmonov will pay a working visit to the Kazakh capital city of Astana to attend an informal summit of heads of state from the Central Asian countries scheduled for September 2, according to information from president’s executive office.
The source says leaders from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will gather to discuss regional cooperation and ways to strengthen multilateral cooperation in Central Asia.
Rational use of water and energy resources and creation of international water-energy consortium are supposed to figure prominently at the informal summit in Astana.
