DUSHANBE, November 23, Asia-Plus -- The government of Tajikistan has relinquished its powers before a newly elected president, presidential press service reported.
Under Article 74 of Tajikistan’s Constitution the country’s government relinquishes its powers before a newly elected president.
According to the source, it took place at a government session that was held in Dushanbe Wednesday afternoon. “All members of the government will perform their duties until the newly elected president forms new ministers,” the source said.
