DUSHANBE, December 26, Asia-Plus - New Turkish and French ambassadors have arrived in Tajikistan, according to Tajik MFA.
A source at the Tajik MFA said that a new French Ambassador to Tajikistan Oliver Maitland Pelen arrived in Dushanbe on December 21. He has replaced Pierre Andrieu in this position.
A newly appointed Ambassador of Turkey to Tajikistan Akif Aikhan (phonetically spelled) arrived in Dushanbe on December 25, according to the source. He has replaced Ahmed Altay Jengizer, who was appointed Chief Adviser to Turkish Foreign Minister.
The new ambassadors will hand their credentials to President Emomali Rahmonov within the next few days.
