DUSHANBE, January 9, Asia-Plus - President Emomali Rahmonov presided over a working meeting with participation of senior representatives from the government and heads of the law enforcement agencies on January 8.
According to presidential press service, the meeting discussed issues related to state finance control over targeted use of domestic and foreign investments, legal support for efficient implementation of socioeconomic programs and plans.
Rahmonov demanded at the meeting that measures against corruption in the government structures, including the law enforcement agencies, should be toughened. “The president noted that time has come to review structure and powers of bodies dedicated to fight this evil,” presidential press service said.
