DUSHANBE, January 31, Asia-Plus – Millopar Bandishoyev, formerly prosecutor of the Konibodom district, has been appointed to head the directorate of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption for the Sughd province.
Besides, according to presidential press service, Abdujabbor Shirinov, who had previously been head of the State Financial Oversight Committee, has been appointed first deputy head of the anticorruption agency.
According to some sources, the anticorruption agency’s directorates for Sughd, Khatlon, and Dushanbe have a staff of 85 each. The agency’s directorate for Gorno Badakhshan has a staff of 25.
The anticorruption agency was established on January 10. It performs functions previously carried out by the State Financial Oversight Committee, Main Tax Police Directorate, Directorate for Combating Corruption, and other agencies. The anticorruption agency is placed under president’s direct supervision.
