DUSHANBE, February 20, Asia-Plus - President Emomali Rahmonov on February 19 signed decrees confirming appointments of a number of heads of regions and districts.
Thus, by president’s decree appointment of Qodir Qosimov as chairman of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (Gorno Badakhshan or GBAO) was confirmed.
Other president’s decrees confirmed appointment of Asadullo Abdulloyev as chairman of the Khuroson district, Malika Shukurova as chairwoman of the Temurmalik district, Saidmurod Abdurahmonov as chairman of the Panj district, and Sitora Sherova as chairwoman of the Varzob district.
We will recall that they had previously been appointed acting chairpersons of the mentioned administrative units.
Besides, by president’s decree Mayrambek Tuychiyev replaced Shozed Shozedov as chairman of the Murgab district in Gorno Badakhshan. Shozedov was relieved of his post for health reason.
Rahmonov also appointed Saidali Musofirov to head the Darvoz district in Gorno Badakhshan.
By government’s resolution Asliddin Nizomov, formerly head of the culture department of President’s Executive Office, was appointed as Rector of Tajikistan’s State Institute of Art. We will recall that former Rector of the Institute Vahhob Nabiyev was appointed as deputy head of the Sughd province.
