DUSHANBE, December 22, Asia-Plus -- Capital mayor’s resolution of December 19 requires completion of work on improvement of the aesthetic appearance of Dushanbe in the anticipation of celebrations to mark the New Year holiday by December 28.
Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that by mayor’s resolution relevant municipal services jointly with economic entities are to organize New Year’s fairs of farm produce and consumer goods on all Dushanbe’s markets from December 27-30.
A Christmas Tree’s morning party will be held in the building of Tajik Circus in Dushanbe on December 28.
Besides, a number of New Year’s festive performances will be held in the Tajik capital on December 30, and the main festive show will be held on the Dusti (Friendship) Square in Dushanbe on December 31.
Work on improvement of Dushanbe is progressing, the spokesman said.
In the meantime, in connection with the New Year holiday the government on December 21 passed a resolution on carrying over a day-off from December 29 to December 31
