DUSHANBE, December 30, Asia-Plus -- A groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the Service Center Poytakht was held at the Mirzo Tursunzoda Street in Dushanbe on December 30.
Capital mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev and other senior representatives from the Dushanbe mayor’s office attended the ceremony.
In accordance with the design, the center will be a five-storey building with a total space of 6,500 square meters. The center will house a number shops and general services facilities.
The building owner is the closed joint-stock company (CJSC) Ross-Asia Invest and the contractor is the Tajik-Turkish company Toj-Turk-Insaat.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, the capital mayor noted that construction of the center is funded by known Tajik entrepreneur and the former Tajik Minister of Industries Zayd Saidov. The center is expected to be finished in September 2008, by Tajikistan’s Independence Day, which is marked on September 9.
