DUSHANBE, January 7, Asia-Plus  - President Emomali Rahmon on January 5 signed a number of new laws and codes confirmed by the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament), presidential press service said.  

Among them are laws on fauna, social security, arbitrators, bodies of public self-government and seed growing, as well as civil procedural and economic legal procedure codes.

The new laws are aimed at regulation of relations of society and improvement of legislation currently in force, the press service said.  

The new civil procedural code, aimed at providing rights and freedoms of citizens, interests of state and society, will be effective beginning on April 1, 2008, and the civil procedural code adopted in 1963 already will expire.
