DUSHANBE, January 8, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon has returned three laws to the parliament as requiring improvement.
As it had been reported earlier, the president on January 5 signed a number of new laws and codes confirmed by the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament). Among them are laws on fauna, social security, arbitrators, bodies of public self-government and seed growing, as well as civil procedural and economic legal procedure codes.
In the meantime, the head of state returned the laws on mortgage, wadset and amendments to the tax code as requiring improvement.
Presidential press service has refrained from giving comments on the matter.
MP Yusuf Akhmedov told Asia-Plus that parliamentarians had met to discuss remarks made by ht president. Parliamentarian also refrained from giving further details.
