DUSHANBE, February 5, Asia-Plus -- By president’s decree of February 5 Zafar Saidzoda, formerly Director of the national News Agency Khovar, has been appointed Senior Adviser to the Tajik President for Foreign Policy, according to President’s Executive Office.
Zafar Saidzoda (formerly Saidov), 47, graduated from the Faculty of History at Tajik National University in 1983. From 1983 to July 1987, he worked with the Department of Philosophy at Tajik National University. After that Saidzoda had worked with various government institutions. In the 1990s, he had worked as the head of the MFA information department.
From November 1995 to December 2003, Zafar Saidzoda worked as spokesman for the president. On December 15, 2003, he was appointed to head the national news agency Khovar.
Zafar Saidzoda has scientific degree of the Candidate of Sciences in Philosophy.
