DUSHANBE, June 6, Asia-Plus  -- President Emomali Rahmon today morning left for Moscow to part at an informal CIS summit that is scheduled to be held in St. Petersburg, Russia from June 6-7, presidential press service said.  

A meeting of CIS heads of state is taking place on the sidelines of the ST. Petersburg Economic Forum that will open on June 6 and run through June 8.  They are supposed to coordinate their visions of the plan for the development of the CIS. 

During his stay in St. Petersburg, President Rahmon is expected to hold a number of bilateral talks with his CIS counterparts to discuss cooperation issues.  

 Together with Tajikistan’s economic team the president is also taking take part at the 12th International Economic Forum.  

Energy and Industries Minister Gul Sherali, Economic Development and Trade Minister Ghulomjon Bobozoda, as well as the head of the State Committee for Investment and State-owned Property Management Farrukh Hamraliyev and the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Said Sharif are representing Tajikistan at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.  Besides, representatives of the Limited Liability Company Duhanbeagroservice, the Production Association Yoqout-2000 and the Institute for Economic are also attending the forum.  

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum has brought together world leaders to discuss key economic issues facing Russia and the international community.  Traditional participants include presidents, prime ministers, heads of government and ministers from a number of countries, as well as the international business elite and chief editors from leading global media publications.

The forum participants are considering issues related to national economic interests, global management institutions and take part at conferences to discuss economic, food security and energy problems.
