DUSHANBE, December 10, 2008, Asia-Plus -- President Emomali Rahmon yesterday had a telephone conversation with his Afghan counterpart, President Hamid Karzai, to discuss state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan, according to presidential press service.
The two, in particular, exchanged views on political, socioeconomic and cultural relations. A special attention was given to implementation of agreements that had been reached between the two countries during their bilateral meetings.
Rahmon and Karzai also discussed a number of international and regional issues being of mutual interest, the press service said.
