DUSHANBE, April 4, 2009, Asia-Plus  -- In this year’s address to the parliament, President Emomali Rahmon is expected to touch upon issues related to ways and measures  to mitigate effects of the global financial crisis in the country, Firouz Saidov, a senior expert from the Center for Strategic Studies, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

According to him, the president will make emphasis on creation of new jobs, social protection of the population, measures to promote development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the country, protection of domestic producers and enhancement of the country’s energy sector.

A joint meeting of both chambers of the parliament is expected to be convoked on April 15.
