DUSHANBE, December 2, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) have endorsed amendments to the country’s administrative code requiring a penalty fee for officials raising difficulties in the construction sector.
A regular sitting of the sixth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the third convocation was held on December 2.
Presenting the bill requiring amendments to the country’s administrative code, MP Khadicha Hakimova noted that under the amendments, officials that would not give construction permits opportunely would pay a penalty fee 700 to 1,050 somoni. For the repeated violation, they will be fined 1,050 to 1,750 somoni.
According to her, under the addenda made to the administrative code, construction companies that will not submit necessary documents about the facility under construction to the relevant government bodies in time will be fined 350 to 700 somoni.
Parliamentarians also considered and endorsed amendments to the laws on refugees, environmental expertise and joint stock companies.
